Colour and texture are the foundations of your home. On them you build your personality, influence your emotions and live your own unique life. The aim of my colour consultation is to help you find your uniqueness, rather than follow the latest trend.

MEET THE ARTIST
Hi, I’m Richard
An artist, colour consultant and music lover with a career spanning graphic design and marketing, TV, publishing, teaching, and curating … basically anything creative.
I consider myself fortunate because I have always known, and followed my passion, whether it has worked financially or not, and on my journey I have met some amazing ‘creatives’.
When I paint, it is not my desire or intention to tell you what to think or feel when you look at a piece of my work. Your connection with the work is unique to you, and must be respected. For me, that is the very essence of art. To make us think and reflect.
Sculpture Paddock at night
When asked to put a label on himself to make it easier for people to see what he does. Richard just laughs . . . “ l can’t “ he says. “l’ve never been able to put myself in a box. Basically, whatever l’ve done and still do, must involve being creative, so l have woven it into everything l do . . . my art, my colour consulting business, my art promotion work, exhibition and event curating and organising and managing community fundraisers. I work at my own art practice in my studio and surround myself with an eclectic art collection at home, it’s just who l am”.

The title is ‘Blue Dove & Messenger”
Doves were sometimes believed to bring good fortune, here the messenger offers us a thought this Easter and early April in 1963 a song was composed the lyrics are by Leslie Bricusse. I remember Harry Secombe singing it when l was young teen in the sixties when big changes to society were happening. Tony Bennett sung this song later, l find the lyrics uplifting, positive - the world today is a long way from any joy, so that is why l ask you to read these words below and relax this month of April.
Verse 1. If l ruled the world, every day would be the first day of spring, every heart would have a new song to sing, and we’d sing of the joy every morning would bring.
Verse 2. If l ruled the world, every man would be as free as a bird, every voice would be a voice to be heard, take my word we would treasure each day that occurred.
Verse 3. My world would be a beautiful place, where we could weave such wonderful dreams. My world would wear a smile on its face, like the man in the moon has when the moonbeams.
Verse 4. If l ruled the world, every man would say the world was his friend, there’d be happiness that no man could end, No, my friend, not if l ruled the world.
Every head would be held up high, there’d be sunshine in everyone’s sky, if the day ever dawned when l ruled the world.
